Leathercrafting (Leather Book Cover)

Programme: 9 hours over 3 sessions

Interesting highlights of the programme include:

  • Introduction to leather crafting with lecturer on leather crafting and practical in recognising leather types and leather components

  • Practice punching of stitch holes and the practice of stitching leather parts together.

  • Practice in fabricating a mock-up pouch cover. Cutting/Assembly/Holes punching techniques.

  • Participants will learn how to store leather and how different techniques are used to process leather materials.

  • Assembly of the leather parts into the final leather book cover. Burnishing and finishing the cover edges with edge sealer and oil or wax.
